Our Purpose

The Disability Awareness Society is a student organization dedicated to education about disability issues and encouraging respectful communication with and treatment of people with disabilities. We have had education campaigns about disability issues, including tables for World CP (Cerebral Palsy) Day in October, World Prematurity Day in November, and "Spread the Word to End the Word" the first Wednesday in March. We also have presentations during out meetings about various issues.
